How to unlock SWAT

SWAT is not a reward for generic police work. You get Burt Reynolds and the SWAT homies by choosing “Destroy Zombie Virus For The Mayor” in Zombie Attack, or by owning the Unlockable Pack. The squad is four: two shields, one AR-55, one McManus 2015.

The choice that matters

Zombie Attack offers two outcomes on the unlockables page. Returning the virus produces zombie homies. Destroying it for the mayor produces Burt Reynolds and SWAT. The same split is listed on the choices page. I am treating those two wiki pages as one wiki family, so the status is 1 source until a second site repeats the branch.

The Unlockable Pack is the other door, and Remastered’s exclusion list includes that pack. If you are on Remastered, do not shop for a pack the Remastered page says is missing. Use the mission choice instead. The 2011 game can still be the pack route if you own it.

What the squad carries

The SWAT page describes four followers: two with shields, one with an AR-55, one with a McManus 2015. They are homies you call, not a costume for the boss. Friendly fire can anger homies; the homie page says they can be called again after a few seconds.

Do I unlock SWAT by playing as a cop?

No. The documented route is the Zombie Attack choice, or the Unlockable Pack on versions that include it.

Does Remastered include the Unlockable Pack?
