Remastered on PS5
On PS5 you play Remastered. PlayStation dates the PS5 release to 25 May 2021, with 60fps and dynamic 4K. A PS4 digital purchase upgrades free. A PS4 disc must stay in the drive. A digital-only PS5 cannot take that disc upgrade.
Upgrade rules
Sperasoft’s next-gen note and PlayStation’s game page agree on the free upgrade, the 60fps mode, and dynamic 4K. I quote both because a single marketing line is easy to over-read. The disc rule is the part people miss: the upgrade entitlement for a disc copy still depends on the disc.
The US price I read on 31 Oct 2026 was $4.49 against a $29.99 list. Online co-op for two players needs PlayStation Plus. It is not cross-play with Xbox or PC.
What I did not find a PS5 Pro patch for
I found no PS5 Pro-specific patch note in the sources for this pass. I am not inventing a Pro mode. The performance claim I will stand behind is the 2021 60fps and dynamic 4K line.
Save transfer from a PS3 disc is not documented. The PS3 game is the 2011 build, covered on its own page.
FAQ
Is the PS5 version free if I own the PS4 disc?
You can upgrade, and PlayStation says the PS4 disc has to be inserted. Digital PS4 owners upgrade without a disc.
Does it run at 60fps?
PlayStation and Sperasoft both say 60fps with dynamic 4K. I do not have a separate PS5 Pro figure.
