Where The Third sits in the series

Release order: Saints Row (2006), Saints Row 2 (2008), Saints Row: The Third (2011), Saints Row IV (2013), Gat out of Hell (2015), The Third Remastered (2020), and the Saints Row reboot (2022). There is no Saints Row 5 under that name.

What is not this game

The 2022 reboot is a new continuity. Deep Silver’s series page currently sends saintsrow.com visitors toward that reboot. Volition closed on 31 Aug 2023. Deep Silver still holds the name. The Third was the last main Saints Row published while THQ still owned the studio’s output, before the 2013 bankruptcy and the sale.

I am not printing sales figures. I do not have a pair of sources I trust for a unit count, so the cell stays empty. “Why the series went down” is a business story I will not compress into one villain.

No. It is a reboot. The Third’s sequel is Saints Row IV, which follows the Shaundi rescue.
