Saints Row: The Third on PS4

PS4 owners play Remastered, released 22 May 2020. A PS3 disc will not boot as this version. The PS4 digital game is the one that upgrades to PS5. Official PS4 resolution and frame rate were not printed on the pages I used.

Which disc works

The PS3 release is the 2011 game. Remastered on PS4 is a different product, product code visible on the PlayStation Store listing. Inserting the old disc does not install Remastered. Buying the PS4 digital version is what PlayStation ties to the free PS5 upgrade.

DLC language matches the Remastered page: three story packs and the item set, without the Team Fortress 2 masks, Bloodsucker, or the Unlockable pack. PlayStation lists nine subtitle languages on the pages cited in the research. I am not expanding that into a voice-over claim. Full English voice is the pattern across versions.

Frame rate left blank

I will not type “PS4 is 30fps” or “PS4 is 60fps” without a store sentence. The 60fps line in Sperasoft’s note is about the PS5 and Xbox Series upgrade, not a PS4 mode. The cell stays empty on purpose.

FAQ

Can I play my PS3 disc on PS4?

No. PS4 only has Remastered, sold separately from the 2011 PS3 game.

Does the PS4 version upgrade to PS5?

The digital PS4 version upgrades for free. Disc copies still need the disc inserted on PS5.
